CURRICULUM

Our approach to learning is one of individual accomplishment. We use learning materials designed to allow students to move at their own pace through the materials. Each student works his/her way through the scope and sequence of curriculum with one-on-one assistance. Student advancement is attained only through learning as each student must attain at least an 80% proficiency on each test to advance to new material. (90% is required on lower level.) All curriculum is built upon the five basic laws of learning:
Students must be at levels where they can perform.
Reasonable goals must be set.
Students goals must be met.
Learning must be measurable.
Learning must be rewarded.

GOALS:

A solid back-to-the-basics education program
A course of study individualized to meet a child's specific needs and learning capabilities.
A program incorporating character-building and wisdom principles.

Whether the student is a high achiever or a moderately paced learner, the educational process proceeds at the exact level determined by the child's ability.
Individualization makes it possible for each student to master the subject before moving on. Such mastery is the foundation upon which all future learning is built. Individualization produces academic excellence. Students take responsibility for their own learning. Biblical character training received as part of this learning experience prepares students to welcome and accept challenges and future opportunities that come their way. Biblical values and concepts considered foundational to relationships and productive living are conveyed throughout the curriculum to become life-shaping influences.

What is a "Pace" or a "LifePac"?

A "P.A.C.E." or "LifePac" is the actual workbook that your child will use for study. Below is an example of a high school level English. On the right is an example of the work.

With each P.A.C.E. or LifePac, we send a "Score Key". Below is an example of the High School level score key. This is for the parent's to use

Once your child has successfully completed the "Check Up" and "Self Test" at the end of the Pace or LifePac, then they're ready for the final test. This is located in the middle of the book and should be torn out before your child starts the Pace. Below is a partial example of a final test. Once this test is completed, you will need to mail it to Indy for grading.

Once your student has taken the diagnostic test and it is returned to the school, your curriculum will be ordered. Please allow two to four weeks to receive your order.
